AN EUROPEAN PROJECT

The first working meeting of the Comenius Multilateral Project “Europe: a Mosaic” has taken place in Aranjuez, Spain Turing the last week of November 2008.All four partner schools have attended the meeting.

  • Haupt und Realschule in Lehre, Germany
  • I.E.S. “Alpajés” in Aranjuez, Spain
  • Samsun Ataturk Anadolu Lisesi in Samsun, TurKey

 Teachers and pupils have met and have started working together. Our partnership will last for two years.The main tool we will be using will be the Internet. Each partner school will be using its own school webpage to publish and widespread the results but, at the same time, all the results of our work will be published in a common page for the four of us: the http://www.chain.to you are now visiting will host the virtual book we will create during these two years of common work.

Students will try and find out customs, traditions, cultural heritage, music, games, etc from their own country and area and will export them to the pupils at other schools and countries to discover differences as well as similarities.We want to create a way to comunicate and learn about others. This knowledge is the best tool we can provide our students to become tolerant and develop a feeling of solidarity. The agreements made at this first meeting are the following:

  • Each partner school will publish results in their school websites as well as in the common webpage
  • Each partner school will contribute with 2 or 3 pictures from their hometowns to create a slideshow on the mainpage of the chain.to webpage
  • All partner schools will write one or several articles introducing to others: their school, their city / village, their surroundings 
  • During the first year the topics to be worked upon are: music, sports, free time, gastronomy.

 Apart from these common topics, if any of the partner schools feel they can put in more information than the one demanded, they are free to do so.  

UN PROYECTO EUROPEO

El I.E.S. Alpajés se embarca en un nuevo proyecto. Esta vez se trata de un Comenius Multilateral que lleva por nombre “Europe: a Mosaic”.

Desde hace varios años este centro se ha caracterizado por su colaboración con otros centros, no sólo de Europa, sino de todo el mundo –Alemania, Francia y Estados Unidos-. A partir de este curso, además, se trabajará, dentro del marco de la Agencia Nacional Sócrates en Bruselas, con los siguientes centros:
 
  • Haupt und Realschule en Lehre, Alemania
  • Istituto D’Istruzione Superiore “Enrico Fermi” en Montesarchio, Italia
  • Samsun Ataturk Anadolu Lisesi en Sansum, Turquía
El lanzamiento de este proyecto se ha llevado a cabo en el I.E.S. Alpajés, Centro Coordinador, durante la última semana de noviembre. Profesores y alumnos de los cuatro centros asociados han tenido la oportunidad de conocerse y trabajar juntos. La duración de esta colaboración será de dos años.

El soporte fundamental de trabajo será Internet. Habrá dos espacios para publicar los resultados: el primero la página cedida por uno de los colaboradores de la Agencia Sócrates en Holanda http://www.chain.to y el otro la página web del propio centro coordinador  www.educa.madrid.org/web/ies.alpajes.aranjuez/. El tema fundamental será un intercambio de costumbres, tradiciones, patrimonio cultural, música, juegos. etc.

La impulsora y coordinadora de esta asociación, María Jesús Casales, profesora de Inglés, define así los principales objetivos que la han llevado a promover esta colaboración internacional:

 “Queremos crear un camino para hablar y conocer mejor a los demás ciudadanos de Europa para, desde ahí, educar a nuestros alumnos en el respeto a la diversidad; porque consideramos que éste es el mejor vehículo hacia la tolerancia y la solidaridad.

 Y todo esto lo haremos poniendo en práctica los conocimientos que tenemos de inglés, dotando así a este idioma de un fin tan importante como es el ser la mejor herramienta para la comunicación y el entendimiento”
