The Teachers' Support Centre of Alcorcón was created by the Decree 63/2001 of May, 10 (BOCM - legislation journal of the Madrid Community - May 17), has been continuously working since 1986. According to the legislative order 1865/2001, of May 18, the Alcorcón Teachers' Support Centre is included in the Southern-district of Madrid, having competences in the towns of Alcorcón, Brunete and Villaviciosa de Odón.
The Teachers' Support Centre of Alcorcón is a public institution of the Madrid Autonomous Government for pedagogical support whose aims are to mediate, guide, counsel and train the teaching staff of the educational institutions under the university level in such a way that it can contribute to the improvement of the quality of education. Through its two main branches, on the one hand the active participation of teachers and educational centres in programmes, projects and other formative modalities; and on the other hand, the access to the didactic resources, the Teachers' Support Centre promotes teaching self-esteem so as to allow the means to provide an educational response to the great challenges of education nowadays.
The Teachers' Support Centre of Alcorcón is promotes training, innovation and research. This web page intends to offer information and resources that facilitate and enable a more efficient communication between the Teachers' Support Centre and educational institutions.
